Deleting your account

To permanently delete your Dipity account and all associated data, open the app and go to Account → Delete Account. Your data will be removed from our servers within 30 days. Alternatively, email support@getdipity.app with the subject "Delete my account."

Frequently asked questions

Why isn't a friend showing up in my city?
Your friend needs to have added their current city or travel plan in Dipity, and their sharing settings must allow it. Ask them to check their beacon and sharing settings.
How does location work? Is it always on?
No — Dipity doesn't require always-on GPS. Your home city is a city you set manually. Your current city (when traveling) is only shared if you turn on "beacon" mode. Precise real-time location is optional and per-friend.
How do I invite a friend who isn't on Dipity yet?
Open the app, tap Add Friend, find them in your contacts, and tap Invite. They'll get an SMS with your personal invite link and code.
Is Dipity invite-only?
Yes, during our early access phase. Each user gets a personal invite code they can share with up to 20 friends. Once you're in, your friends can join right away.
How do I remove a friend or contact?
Open the friend's profile in the app, scroll to the bottom, and tap Remove Contact or Unfriend. You can always re-add them later.
I'm not receiving notifications — what's wrong?
Check that notifications are enabled for Dipity in your iPhone's Settings → Notifications. Also check that mute is not turned on for the specific friend in the app.
Can someone see my travel plans without me knowing?
No. You control sharing per-friend. You can disable travel plan sharing for any individual friend in their profile settings.
What happens to my data if I delete the app?
Deleting the app doesn't delete your account — your data remains on our servers. To permanently remove your data, use the Delete Account option in the app or email us.
